One of my utter most inspirational quotes.....

Autumn Cuteness :)

Floral Frill Mini Skirt - http://tinyurl.com/np4b9az
Lace Trim V-Neck Blousehttp://tinyurl.com/os5q782
Taupe Brogue Bootieshttp://tinyurl.com/oo2me68
Satchel with Scallop Edgehttp://tinyurl.com/ngqokwn

The coordinating boot and satchel are absolutely perfect for this season as there is no other season when you can rock brown brogues like autumn. It looks so feminine and gentle that even those who favour the edgy look will absolutely have no problem strutting this look.

The white blouse gives that crispy clean look to the autumn feel when the colours are generally associated with dead leaves ( yeah, I said that).

But, just because it's autumn doesn't mean that you have to settle down with just browns and oranges that you see this season!! The gentle floral print adds another dimension and adds warm to the outfit. Also, in order to not completely divert the attention of the outfit away from autumn, I've settled with a skirt that is layered. The concept of layered clothes is linked to the colder seasons. Hence, the layered skirt gives off an illusion that it is fitting into autumn, whilst sneakily showcasing a summery floral print. :D Cute or what? :P

(P.S - I've used tinyurls to shorten the HTML links because some of this links are absurdly long...)

(P.P.S - I'm sooo sorry for not posting in ages... I won't warble on and make excuses but I hope to start posting relatively quickly again!!)

Sweet and Sexy xx

White Dropped Jumper – chicwish.com
Black Frill Hem Skirt – chicwish.com
Suede and Patent Leather Pumps – Tribute by Saint Laurent
Shark Tooth Bag – Givenchy

The sequin top looks stunning tucked into the high-waisted skirt. The drop shoulder stitching gives off a more comfortable and casual touch to an evidently ‘genteel’ attire. The zips at the sides of the skirt definitely works well with the chain strap (yep, I couldn’t resist :P) and makes the whole outfit a lot more interesting.

The highlight of this look has to be the frill hem skirt. The skirt itself hugs the waist and hips and then just spreads out giving it an air of elegance and sophistication.

The nude heels are great for your legs because they don’t have the straps at the front which can make a rounder figure seem frumpy; they also make you seem taller!!

Favourite Autumn Boots ^-^

Autumn can be a confusing time for some people when it comes to footwear. Summer is over, so all the sandals and open shoes go hiding. But winter is still a few months away and it isn’t exactly suitable for knee-high boots when the weather is still mild in most parts...The answer? Ankle boots.
1.KG By Kurg Geiger – Simple. Not fussy. Easy to wear. I especially love the subtle strap details. And it’s black all over so it means it can literally rock any outfit.
2.ALDO – The attractive part of this boot definitely has to be the quilted detail front which looks super cosy and stylish too..

3.River Island – Leather puts some people off wearing boots, but this one is pretty much universal because of the matte upper fabric. The gold detailing adds that extra touch; and the sneaky open toe is a clever addition for those battling autumn shoe problems.

A/W 13 Trend – Rebel :PP
Faux Leather Quilt Biker Jacket – chicwish.com
Vintage Floral Print Tee – oasap.com
Pleated Trim Shorts – oasap.com
Spiked High Heel Boots – wholesale7.com
Contrast Panel Crossbody Bag – River Island

This looks super amazing when put together. The leather look, combined with the spikes on the boots and the chains on the bag, gives off an ultra-tough vibe. The tailored shorts take another turn in the style because it adds that touch of classiness to the whole outfit. The print t-shirt takes it to a whole other level making it all look all the more runway perfect.
(P.S I prefer blogging on my computer as it is much easier. Much quicker and less of a hassle :/ )

Randomness and thank yous :)

So on the random side, I'm just experimenting with blogging on my mobile.
I guess I'll see how it turns out compared to a pc blog, but ok.
Also, I'd like to say thank you to whoever you are for checking out my blog posts!! It soo makes my day when I check in to see that people from all over the world have read my posts! It makes my blogging worth it.  xxx ^^

Totally Random(?)

Top – Miss Selfridge
Shorts – Topshop
Clutch– Monki
Boots – Forever 21

So at first, I wanted to create this totally random outfit. So randomness led to this. And the more I look at it, the more I actually like it o.o. It has this really weirdness to it that just works soo well and looks as if it was all meant to be. The shorts, clutch and boots all have the same faux leather look to them. And for those who have been reading my previous blog posts will know that I like to blend up styles and mix up ‘masculine’ and ‘feminine’ looks to come up with something awesome. The cute girly touch here is the silver embellished cami top with a scallop hem that reminds me to the ‘20s flapper girls’ style...
(Pssst...you might also like this...)

Cute and Comfy Flats ^-^
1. Modcloth.com – This pair of loafers are sooo cuuute it is unreal. The neutral (sort of tan) colour makes it compatible with most outfits and works well with bold, sharp colours and with softer, more pastel shades.

2. Yesstyle.com – These trainers/ sneakers are the perfect partner for a pair of denim shorts and cute on-trend crop top. And don’t let anyone tell you the prints are too immature because they are cute. Ok? ><.

3. Asos.com – To be honesty truthful, if I saw these pair of shoes in a store, I would probably walk right past. But the thing that makes it to this list is the metallic colour. I was a freak for metallic shoes many, many years ago *.*. And now I’m suddenly obsessed with wearing platforms for some reason...but yep. This pair of gold, pin buckle ankle strap shoes are really adorable and look nice with velvet leggings and an oversized woolly sweater. :D

Back To School Outfit Idea :)
Shirt – Target
Cardigan – chicwish.com
Jeans – Mango (from John Lewis)
Jeffrey Campbell Lita Boots – solestruck.com
Bag – Cambridge Satchel Company
:)
This outfit is sooo cuuuuute!!
It is the most perfect look for that first day back to school. It just oozes complete fashion sense but at the same time shows off minimal effort. And as soon as people hit September they think it’s the time to get rid of all summer outfits but you don’t have to?! I mean, it’s only just turned September and this look explains how you can keep hold of those summer outfits for a little longer but yet slowly blend in autumn which is what September means for all us folk who can’t afford a whole new wardrobe each season :D.
The polka dot on the shirt and the light grey jeans speak out ‘summer’ but all you have to do to up the game is add an oversized comfy cardigan like this one from chichwish. I’ve been looking everywhere for something like this and never really found one that’s made from a soft fluffy knit fabric and looks adorable.
And then the shoes and bag come naturally :D. Do I even need an introduction? Nope! The two of my most favourite wardrobe staples that once again prove that you can team them up with absolutely anything. ^^

P.S Don't forget to check out my other look which I also think is a great back to school outfit idea, if you haven't already!!
Here it is: http://alysonladybird.blogspot.co.uk/2013/08/cute-geek-skirt-w-braces-new-look-skirt.html.

A Trio of Dresses
 ❥❥❥
1: SheInside.com
2. Romwe.com
3. Chicwish.com

The first dress is a shift dress and it strongly reminds me of something that Wednesday would wear from ‘The Addams Family’ xD The colour is dark grey even though it looks sort of black. The white lacey collar is what makes this dress ultra adorable.
The second dress is a scoop neck, loose fit dress which is perfect for autumn/ fall. It’s the sort of dress you can wear to layer it up. With this one, you can layer it with a sheer long-sleeved t-shirt underneath and a woolly over sized cardigan, and don’t forget the knee-high socks and cute boots!!
The last dress in this trio is my favourite. I think I recently saw a similar one on Nasty Gal...but anyway this dress is absolutely stunning. It combines my favourite elements in one: sheer mesh panels, a collar, and a skater skirt!! Plus, it’s black (I always try to experiment with colour and print but I can never stop going back to black :P).

Festival Fashion :PP
Nirvana Smiley Black Dolman – backstreet-merch.com
Black Shoes – Mango
CescaStuddy Buddy’ Studded Faux Leather Backpack – Nordstrom
Jeffrey Campbell ‘Lita’ Tiger Print boots – Karmaloop

Since this is a festival getup, it makes sense to wear a band t-shirt but you don't have to be a fan or a music lover to wear band tops... (I have to admit I only chose this top because the way the sleeves are cut makes it look super cute :o).
Also, even though I'm a satchel sort of person, I think a satchel wouldn't work as well as that backpack which makes it practical as well as stylish.
And since tiger face prints are trending right now, it makes sense to have them on a pair of Jeffrey Campbell 'Lita' boots...right? :D

Skull ‘N’ Black
Stud detail skull print t-shirt – Mango
Highwaisted skinny jeans – tillys.com
Black slouch wing tote bag – New Look
Jeffrey Campbell ‘Lita’ boots – solestruck.com

This outfit is speaks casual. A perfect combination that's great for everyday around the house - but once you add the boots and bag, it keeps it casual and at the same time, it looks like you know how to dress. For those rainy or windy days, team this up with a camouflage or army print biker jacket with black sleeves. Something similar to this underground army jacket by Nasty Gal:)

August Favourites :)
Skirt – thecorner.com
Dress – jackwills.com
Shoes – nelly.com

The Marta Ferri midrise floral skirt is trendy and very pretty. It’s very summery and can be worn with a crisp white shirt or ruffle blouse.
I chose the dress to be featured here because it’s so different, and I think it’s one of those pieces in your wardrobe that has to be different from everything else you would normally wear. Plus, you can work the dress with some biker boots and a leather backpack, or you can wear it with nude heels and a tiny clutch. Either way, it is extremely beautiful.
The shoes are an ‘August Favourite’ because they are a wardrobe staple. If you choose to make it exist in your wardrobe, then you’re in luck as it is sleek, pretty and minimalistic...and it works well with the other two items pictured here! xD

City Girl
Top –  Mango
Shorts – French Connection
Boots – Jeffrey Campbell
Bag – Wet Seal

I wanted to create an everyday look that works well for multiple occasions, from lunch to a friends house, you can really pull this off. The pleated blouse makes it all look really sweet but the boots toughen up the whole style. The festival style mini cross body bag is a must-have to make this whole look work. Hope you like it! xxx

Cute Geek ^-^
Skirt w/ braces – New Look
Skirt – Dorothy Perkins
Satchel – Cambridge Satchel Company
Socks – Steve Madden
Shoes – New Look

Everything works so well in this outfit. I think of braces as very '90s, since the last time I wore braces was when I was a little child, so I generally wouldn't opt for anything that involves braces, but this outfit wouldn't be complete without the braces!! The satchel is the most adorable item here as it is so versatile and can work with nearly anything you wear (doesn't have to be study or college related :P). There are so many satchel colours to choose from but my favourite is always definitely brown.

Modern Ladybird Style..? ;D
Dress – Fausto Puglisi
Bag – Malene Birger
Shoes – Christian Louboutin

This style was very obviously inspired by my blog name. Sooo when inspiration struck, I thought that I definitely need to compile an outfit that corresponds with the 'Ladybird' theme. However, I don’t want to go all cheesy and post hundreds of ladybird inspired outfits because that’s just overdoing it.
Annnywaay, back to the outfit! ^^
This outfit consists of pretty pricey items, a.k.a designer. The dress is a wool blend dress in colour block, which looks absolutely stunning on any body shapes and sizes. The waist line is flared, meaning that whether you are slim or curvy, your waist will be enhanced beautifully. The bag practically screams gorgeous and works with absolutely anything in your wardrobe! And the shoes? Cute, cute, cute. ^^

Name Change!!

For those of you who are familiar with this blog, you will know that it used to be called 'Not Your Fashion'. However, I have changed it to Ladybird Blog because it sounds so much cuter and a lot less intimidating. So this blog is officially "http://alysonladybird.blogspot.co.uk/" or Ladybird Blog. Hope you like it! :D

Cute Leather ^^
Blouse – H&M
Skirt – New Look
Shoes – Nelly.com
Bag – H&M

This outfit is cute because it mixes up styles and I love doing that. It has that edgy rock look with the leather skirt and black stud heels. At the same time, the silk blouse with the cute bow and the belt on the skater skirt makes the outfit look more feminine. ^-^

Net-A-Porter Live

I first heard about Net-A-Porter from one of the most fashionable girls at school. Ever since then, it has become my primary fashion source where I go to hunt out new style entries. I can honestly say it really was one of my first fashion teachers, where I slowly learnt the names of haute couture and began to identify Christian Louboutin from Charlotte Olympia. And even to this day, the website brings out something new.
So I was really existed to discover the ‘Net-A-Porter Live’ page. It’s basically a cool map of the world and not only does it show how many people are online at any given time, it also shows what people are buying.
It might seem pointless at first, like why do you need to know what people are buying? But for those who want to enter the fashion industry one way or another, the consumer is what shapes the industry. So it helps to know what real people are buying.
Besides, it’s cool to just check it out, because more often than not, you’ll always find really nice items that you hadn’t noticed while looking through the actual page.
So give it a go and see what you think of it, because it’s great!

Royal Blue
Top – farfetch.com
Skirt – monki.com
Shoes – dorothyperkins.com

Spots and stripes are pretty much essential in any wardrobe depending on your preference. This particular spotty outfit is heavily inspired by the outfit worn by the Duchess of Cambridge when she left hospital with Prince George. I generally hate outfits that have a matching pattern on the top and bottom half. So I've deliberately teamed the skirt with a plain white t-shirt that has a subtle hint of 'matching-ness' on the Peter Pan collar. My favourite are the espadrille wedges that complete the look to utter perfection.
:)

The Monochrome Graphic
Top - topshop
Shorts – uniqlo
Shoes – nelly.com

I chose to put this outfit together because I absolutely adore this uncomplicated look  It's simple. It oozes sophistication. Yet at the same time, it looks so looks effortless! Just stunning.

Thursday 1 August 2013

Pink and Floral
Top – rarelondon.com
Skirt – 3.1 Phillip Lim
Shoes – farfetch.com
Shades - polyvore.com

OK...I admit - I'm not really a 100% pink lover, but I have to say that this outfit is pretty cute. It also is a sharp contrast to my 'Plaid Rebel' outfit pretty much but it does the job for those who love head to toe pink - literally.

Plaid Rebel
Bustier - Topshop
Skirt – Alice + Olivia
Shoes – MICHAEL Michael Kors
Cuff – 2bstores.com

Plaid is big right now. And so is the 'rebel' look. What better way to collaborate the look? Team up a little bustier with a spiked cuff and zip heels. Then add a little splash of red to the all-black ensemble and you've got it right. :)
